Second Sino- Japanese War:Sino-Japanese War started in 1937 and ended in 1945.The war began when China used full-scale resistance against expansion of Japanese influence in its territory. In order to take down the nationalist government of Chiang Kai-shek the Japanese occupied large areas of Eastern China. A stalemate was forced upon the Japanese and Japanese forces were diverted to Southeast Asia and to the Pacific area that World War II took place with the western powers and their allies beginning in 1941. Japan was eventually defeated by the Allies in 1945 and this ended the war between Japan and China. |
