Totalitarianism:
Totalitarianism is a system of government in which one political party or group takes control and has no tolerance to other political groups. Totalitarianism is often seen in Eastern and Western Europe and in 1919 – 1939 was used greatly by the Soviet Union and Germany. A totalitarian state is a one-party dictatorship that attempts to regulate every aspect of the lives of its citizens. The totalitarian state regulated in
the Soviet Union by Stalin involved the economy, politics, arts, religion, and society. In Germany the totalitarian state regulated by Hitler involved propaganda, lack of civil liberties, Anti-Semitism, and economic controls. It is clear that these standards of totalitarianism are probably not willingly accepted by the people only adding to causes which will lead to World War II.
